Innovations is a small business, and we pride ourselves in our work. When you support small businesses you are not helping a CEO buy a third vacation home. You are helping parents put food on the table, pay a mortgage or send a student to college. Our customers are our shareholders, and we strive to make you happy.

After spending seventeen years teaching economics and coaching high school football, Frank opened Innovations Fitness in 2001. Despite the economic downturn that followed 9/11, he has kept the business running with the help of his staff and our loyal Innovations members.  You can be sure to see him in the gym throughout the day and evening working or just visiting with members and staff. He has a Masters in Adult Ed and is an APEX/USFA certified personal trainer. Though Frank holds degrees from the University of Georgia & Georgia Southern University and played football for Lees McRae College & Middle Tennessee State University, he is a proud Auburn University fan. War Eagle! He and his wife, Jeanie Thomas, live in Hampton, GA and are parents to daughter, Erin Thomas. Erin lives in Atlanta, holds a PhD in Sociology and works at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Frank is also a loving grandfather to Erin’s son, Coleston.

Like most small businesses, Innovations also depends on the loving (unpaid) labor of family. We’d like to take a moment to thank those whose faces you might not see, but who are invaluable to the gym’s daily functioning.

As the wife to Frank and joint small business owner, Jeanie does some of the behind the scenes work helping with social media, printed materials, and the website. She manages to do this while still thriving in her regular full-time position as a Case Manager at Piedmont Fayette Hospital.  Her career spans over 25 years in south Atlanta hospitals and rehabilitation facilities.  She received her master’s degree in social work from the University of Georgia and is a certified case manager.
